On July 7, the finals of the "star cup" debate, which was hosted by the seller college, came as expectation. The four teams that stood out in the preliminaries will compete fiercely in the final competition. The group leaders Patrick Xu, Charly Chen, Andrew Fang, Lemon Hou, Tony Wang, Grace Xie, Kenny Shao, Justin Fang and some directors and deputy directors was invited to be the judges of the competition. The final competition was held in Ningbo and Yiwu at the same time.
Two hostess-TinTin Ding from Ningbo and Spring Tao from Yiwu hosted the competition as before. After an impassioned self-introduction by both sides, the game came to the opening chapter. The first debater of pro-side laid the argument from the vision of the top leadership strategic, innovative timeliness and other points, showed the idea that "enterprise innovation is more top-down". Based on the difference between source and implementation of the innovation, the first debater of defense dissected their point that "enterprise innovation is more down-top".
In the ensuing defense, the two sides of Ningbo division argued with each heavily. The positive side takes advantage of the fact, citing a large number of the group's top-down innovation examples, getting the opposite into an impasse with the interlocking questions. The counter-party then jumped out of the trap, quoted the scripture, and strikes the other with a penetrating phrase. The Yiwu district also had a equally exciting competition. The second debater of pro-side, Yang Ying, used the "play cat and mouse" mode, gradually bring the enemy into the trap, and then turned his words with throwing doubt, which frozen his opponent for three seconds. Her performance won warm applause from the audience.
In the part of free talking, the two sides used their "serial killing" stunt. The team in the Ningbo division has skillfully led the discussion to "top-down", continued to use their advantage and followed up a victory with hot pursuit. However, their opponents put the point in “focus on” all the time, without denying the importance of the top down, but never admitting it is vital. The pros and cons of the Yiwu division had clear division of labor. Some played logical CARDS; some had wonderful refutation; some used agile thoughts, hitting the mark with a single comment. All their performance showed the tacit understanding of team cooperation.
The one-hour final apparently left the audience in a state of unconsciousness, and everyone breathlessly looked forward to the name of the champion. In the end, the team “Facts speak louder than words” which is made up of Ningbo Union /Green Time, and the team “Best tongue in the world” which is consist of group Administration, Human Resources, Product Online Department won the champion of two divisions. The best debater was elected by the unanimous vote of the general public, Melissa Weng won from Ningbo and Jiang li from Yiwu won the debate MVP!
The greatest joy in the debate is that it’s always near to the truth; however, the truth is always in the hands of those who are deliberative and non-disputing. Action is the best proof to show that corporate innovation is either top-down or bottom-up. Let’s Come and open the mind to play with innovation!
